Senior Pastor: Francisco Avila

Pastor Francisco Avila has served in pastoral ministry since 1999. He and his wife Donna have been married for over 20 years and have four wonderful children - Brandon, Andrew, Daniel, and Leilani.

Pastor Francisco's passion and purpose is to uphold the Word of God above all things. This passion comes from the conviction that the Bible is supreme and serves as the chief means by which God has chosen to reveal Himself and communicate with man. For this reason, Pastor Francisco teaches through the Bible in an expositional manner, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. In so doing, we believe God is most glorified and His Church edified as we are taught the full counsel of God. (Acts 20:27)

Pastor Francisco holds a B.A. degree in Christian Ministries from The Master’s College and is currently attending the Master’s Seminary completing a Masters of Divinity degree.

Associate Pastor: Wayne Martin

Wayne has been with Gateway Bible Church from the beginning. He is a graduate from Tyndale Theological Seminary and was ordained in 2010. Pastor Wayne teaches our Wednesday night Bible study and periodically preaches on Sunday mornings.

Wayne's wife Valerie is in charge of our hospitality ministry and also is part of the worship team.

Elder: Renato Talavera

Renato has been with Gateway Bible Church since 2005 and became an elder in 2006. His decision to to become an elder came after much prayer and he believed that it would be an opportunity to grow as a leader within the church.

Renato's wife Maribel runs the care ministry at the church, reaching out to those in need of encouragement and blessing. Renato and Maribel have three wonderful daughters, Diana, Cristabel, and Anais.

Deacon: Roy Melin

As the head deacon, Roy oversees many of the operational procedures on Sunday mornings. He came to Gateway Bible church in 2007 and felt a call to help out where he was needed. Roy is very involved in the Castaic community, being a part of the executive board for AYSO, coaching, and also acting as a referee for soccer matches on the weekends.

Roy's wife, Diana, is part of the church worship team. Roy and Diana have three children who are also very active in the church - Russell, Sonja, and Jasmine.
